Carlos, no insult intended, but sometimes you have got to look at the whole thing and stand up for what you believe in...

An animal in a hot vehicle, on a hot day, whether in the shade or not is going to get HOT!!!!
and to leave them for an hour or more is not something a responsible person does, end of story!
The only injustice is that the 'other' person was not suspended as well!

I understand Karen! There were no animals inside no hot vehicles.

We were at show in Montgomery,AL., at around 4-5 pm, the group of us plus this person decided to grab a bite to eat inside the building. He and one other left their dogs in the back of their trucks in wire crates under a tree to utilize the shade.

We were inside eating and talking away for about an hour, as time progressed, the sun shifted exposing the dogs in the sunlight.

Unknowing how our breed pants, a concerned exhibitor notified a couple of AKC reps. Now, I am positive that the majority of people here or anywhere know how these AKC reps, or Supers, or committees, or exhibitors are really like; but they are a very strict (no nonsense) type of bunch which may be a good thing. I mean, the majority even get pissed how Neapoitan Mastiff exhibitors show their inexperience and manners in the ring.

Well, to set an example, the Rep decided to give one person and not the other a 30 day suspension and a $100 fine. She fully understood that no harm or foul play was intended but she had to do it since she was called upon. I can guarantee if someone meant harm they would get suspended for life.

About the other things, I am sure some or most are very true and some may be false but I will do as I always do; mind my biz .

Sorry Carlos I misundersttod what you said... The dogs were locked in a crate in the back of an open truck?

Which was under shade when they were left, and as time lapsed and the sun moved over they were exposed to the full sun... Which ever way you look at it they were still left exposed to the elements...

Today in the UK, there was an incident involving 2 police dogs which were left in a car outside a police staion... the dogs are dead! Those dogs baked alive in an hour... ok so a different vehicle, but whether they are locked inside a vehicle or in a cage on the back of a truck, if they exposed to the full sun for any length of time, and unable to get out of the sun, they cannot regulate their own body temperatures...

Ok i know what you are going to say, they were in the open air, and not a cooking pot, which is what a car is when left in the sun...

How did we bring up stupi again {Gary Travers}. I think he is getting far too much advertising as is. I also think it is a real pitiful excuse for a reprimand that the "Filtered Word" only gets 1 month suspension and a hundred dollar fine. We should place him in a locked cage in back of a van in 9o degree weather an see if he can regulate his temperture.

After Carlos posted the details regarding Travis's suspension, I received this Message ...

There were all kinds of people around, calling cops, humane societies, etc....... and the dogs were very much in distress and endangered.

The reason Travers was "singled out" is because he has been in much trouble with the akc before...

There was much more trouble at this show, they brought their dogs on a noisy tractor, with a trailer, and didn't toilet their dogs, who peed and shit all over by and in the ring.

The dogs were REALLY upset by the noisy transport they were brought in. Apparently these neo's owners were looking like a bunch of ignorant hicks from the back woods, THIS IS WHY THIS BREED HAS A BAD NAME!!

These dogs were exposed in the weather for more than just an hour. Maybe not that particular time, but thoughout that day and over the weekend, these folks acted like assholes!

[b].... I don't think i need to make further comment on this... [ /b]

The jealous are troublesome to others, but a torment to themselves!

I would have to agree.

Regarding "Anonymous" private message; It comes to no surprise how one incident can be described as something else. No one drives an actual tractor to a show (lol), its very funny but perhaps its also very stereotypical of the people in that town.

And most importantly; no one on that day presented their dogs in the ring with shit or piss on them. lol

If we are talking about this one incident in the start of spring, imo its was alittle exaggerated. But I dont think it looks professional to have dogs on the back of a pickup and it was wonderful that another person was concerned,
It wouldnt be fair to lump all Neapolitan Mastiff exhibitors of that weekend in one generalization.

I agree with Carlos as it is obvious that He and Luciano also attended and their dogs are always presented in photos in tip top condition.

As we are all aware the unscrupuolous breeder rarely posts photos of his dogs and if he happens to do so the dogs are always soaking wet i suspect from having recently been washed off all their daily/weekly/monthly filth.
I recall one competing website owners description of his kennels and living conditions as to something from a texas chainsaw massacre movie.
