But look at some others dogs on the list, it makes you say "How did they get so many pts"? or better yet "Who did they beat"? I am talking about 4-5 dogs on that list. Unfortunatly and fortunatly, the " Neo world" is a very tiny one, so most know who earned it and who doesn't deserve it. lol

my only question is that i looked this up myself and Centurian Mastini Crown Jewel is in the top 25???? BTW- this is not an attack on Centurian or anyone person(like the other board they dont own this dog, Deb Cerafico does) this dog HAS NEVER showed up for a show that she has been enrolled in (NONE that i have signed up for) and they are in my general area. also, i also did a search and the only show i can find this dog actually attending was the Nationals in April 08. and she got "2nd" in the 12-18m bitches...which we all know doesnt give you points. i also did an AKC search and she has 3pts. Maybe i am missing a few shows this bitch went to but all her points were under one judge. Cena has 3pts and not in the top 25 and i dont expect her too until she is a well deserved champion. AND ITS NOT ABOUT THE POINTS. i have looked up a few other dogs (not on the list) VIA AKC and lots of nice mature dogs have 2-4 points and not on the AKC list. I know there is 25 AKC Champion Neos and more, why are dogs that are NOT champions on this list?
if you show up to a show and you are the only Neo to compete with and you get " Breed" and obviously go to group and you get no points do you get CREDIT for being BOB??? (im sure you dont) Why wouldnt the AKC only have CHAMPIONS on the top 25? you shouldnt get on the top 25 if you are not a Champion, right? i understand showing off your champion and your champion status, it is a accomplishment!i really thought the reason for the the top 25 is to show the TOP 25 CHAMPIONS of that particular breed in AMERICA. am i wrong?
maybe someone WHO KNOWS needs to school me a bit on this. like i said, i not trying to cut anyone down or rip someone to shreads but this particular dog has been enrolled to go to shows i have attended and never shown up. while i have my blue butt-ed dog out there working our tails off (and having fun)

The top 25 list are for dogs Champions and non-Champions who "work" and "earned" for breed points in a calendar year (2008). A dog can only earn breed points by winning Best of Breed. There is a difference between breed pts and earning points towards a Ch. title.
So if Centurian Mastini Crown Jewel is on the list with 3 points, it means at some show or shows he/she has defeated 3 dogs for Best of Breed in 2008.
If you are the only Dog there, you do get credit for BOB but do not gain any points, its only good for tiebreakers. For example, if dog A earns 10 breed points with 6 BOB finishs and dog B earns 10 breed points with 3 BOB finishs, dog A would win the tiebreaker.
JMO, but you make your money at the National/Regional Specialties...closest thing we have to Italian Redundo's (sp)...where Neo's compete against Neos. The AKC system might be flawed, but it is what it is, in that true Neos need to be out there to better educated the judges and the public, but that's jmho. Anthony
