Do you get the same results using frozen sperm compared to nateral breeding? Health, size, number of pups, and does the donour have to be akc ckc to register the pups with those registries?

In Canada .....semen is a seperate ownership and can be purchased and registered seperately. Thus an owner can sell a dog and still own frozen semen from that dog. The CKC has a protocal for this that must be followed to te "T" to confirm identity of the semen. Linda Baby Blue Kennels Canada Click me
Yes the same can be done with the AKC. You can check with the AKC for their precise rules. Most countries allow importation of frozen semen. We recently shipped frozen semen to the UK and the rules their are very strict.
Using frozen semen ...... requires a surgical implant for the best results.

The odds are worse with frozen, eg She will have less of a change of becoming pregnant and will have less puppies then with fresh, I think the numbers go as low as 35%, surgical AI increases the odds up to 85%, but I'd have to dig up the article for the true numbers. As far as the individual puppies I know of no research that shows any difference in the quality of the puppies with fresh v. frozen.
