Most people that have been the breed a long time....know we have trained several dogs.
We have been members of Ring Sport Clubs and Schutzhund Clubs as well as an American Bulldog Club in order to train.
The reason we stopped posting these type pictures as the USNMC adopted a policy against this training...I believe based on some of the discussion and photos we posted in the past. Ultimo was a Brigante grandson and full littermate to Furio de la Bahia. Brigante also did PP training in Italy.
Anway this is not a breed that will do well in Schutzhund as the steps are very precise or in French Ring but it is the ULTIMATE Protection Dog. The thing is YOU must have a competent and qualified trainer. This is not for people to try in their backyard with their buddies. Obedience must be top shelf.......this breed is big and can inflict serious injury. Not all dogs are candidates either.

Since 83 I have seen a softening of temperments & a shortening of life spans ..I totally agree with you in regards to Ring & Schutzhund because of the physical structure of the dog & the limitations placed by it . PSA/Dogsport would be a more viable option ....OB is paramount, unless the dog is on the softer side then confidence building is more important.....IE: redirect/ postive renforcement style of training . A hard dog would require a compluson/control based style of training....I would like to thank you again for sharing the photos ... Jaboa
