 | EUROPEAN WINNERS SHOW 2009 Is being held over four days. The Neapolitan Mastiff is showing today (Sunday) and being judged by (Mr Stelios Makaritis (Greece), so hopefully the judging standard will be more competent than what was displayed earlier this year at Crufts. Weather forecast is for a hot 21-23 degrees... The historic halls have hosted many important events over the years and from Saturday, this show, one of the Irish Dogs Show community’s most special events will be hosted in the great surroundings of the Royal Dublin Society Show grounds. Good luck to all who are attending especially our members from UGM.. I know Phil is attending but unfortunatly not showing, hopefully we will see some great photos posted later today.  | My frago was there in champ class and i think he got beat by the crufts winner! but i dont know yet the results karen, im waiting on hubby coming back, frago got 2nd and award of excellence!  Frago wasnt liking the heat! poor fragolino! It sounded like a waste of time and money! £250 for ferry ya know! My hubby couldnt even find a stall with chains over 26" , he sounded well peeed on the phone, i did ask who got BOB he said i dont know i went before females were on......????????? MEN! hes says its too F$%£$^ hot! lol but he was driving all night and driving straight back hes been up since saturday 5.30am lol [ Edited Sun May 31 2009, 12:41PM ] The jealous are troublesome to others, but a torment to themselves! | |||

Worlds Biggest "Filtered Word" | BOB went to Hamis Del Bengasche and Res to Dona Chi di Don Zamora Funny thing these were the only 2 cropped entries to the show Open female was 1 Dona Chi 2 Beau by Kim And Mati Slater 3 Vallino Evanescence 4 Babe Of I McClean Ch Female was 1 Konah I McClean 2 Hope of Bellezza N Brooks and S Harbron Best Bitch Dona Chi of Steve Cox Res Beau Slater and Mati Junior Male 1 Foo Fighter via Vallino 2 The Sud Slater and Mati Open Male 1 Hamis del Bengasche Steve Cox 2 Sancho De Azzurra Slater and Mati 3 Buster of Bellezza Brooks and Harbron Ch Male 1 Vito of Bellezza Brooks and Harbron 2 Fragolino of CarrieAnn and Jason 3 Male from Bellezza Brooks and Harbron Best male Hamis Del Bengasche Steve Cox Res Sancho Di Azzurra Slater and mati There was 1 male in Puppy Class i think from Vallino but i dont recall who it is as i did not get a catalogue I think that Foo Fighter may also have won Junior European Champion TBH i tried to get pics but the ring was half inside a marquee and half outside and the sun was so bright it was impossible to get decent pics. I will have a check later to see if i got any decent ones. I got some video of most the show so will see how it went as it may be the same as pics are. | Worlds Biggest "Filtered Word" | TBH Alex it was rather disapointing to see only 14 at such a show as the european winner, and this meant certain dogs placed much better than they should have due to 1 and 2 dog classes. I do however see alot of difference in type and construction especially heads between certain dogs there today and what i have seen in italy. 1 female could not see where she was going and when the owner turned in the ring while moving she tripped over her own feet when she got pulled unexpectedly, thankfully the judge seen it and placed her last. It was very hot though and some of the entries did not do so well due to that, I dont think the judge knew much about the breed either as he should have made allowances due to this fact, especially when he was making them move alot more than i have seen in any show before. 1 english buldog dropped dead in the ring about 1 hr before neos were in the same ring and the neo were in when it was much hotter.
