True Phil! If anyone wants to stick it to this guy, perhaps better luck can be achieved by concentrating on breeding practices or bad pup selling business.

I find it personally insulting as I take it a big responsibility to present this breed in the most professional manner especaily in the South. I present my dogs to the max and also HELP MY COMPETITORS in the ring so they too can look professional and wonderful in order to make good impression for everyone to view.

Luciano, Glen and I (and others) always show up in clean suits, dogs well groomed, proper crates and dog bedding; large new cargo vans for transportation and clean hotel rooms.

Regarding "Anonymous" private message; It comes to no surprise how one incident can be described as something else. No one drives an actual tractor to a show (lol), its very funny but perhaps its also very stereotypical of the people in that town.

And most importantly; no one on that day presented their dogs in the ring with shit or piss on them. lol

It wouldnt be fair to lump all Neapolitan Mastiff exhibitors of that weekend in one generalization.

What does it matter if his dogs peed and shit by the side of, and in the ring....or all over themselves?
what does matter what Jed clampit vehicle he turned up in?

The point is, annoymous confirmed he left his dogs exposed to the sun for over an hour, and possibly more...
Those are not the actions of a conscientious dog lover! are they?

Carlos my comments, although in answer to yours, are not directed at you, but i think you are missing the point...

It isn't just puppy sales, and breeding practices that seperate good from bad...

Would you believe Anonymous or someone that was actually there? Why on Earth would I defend this guy? I could care less what people think about this person, he probably deserves it.

A close associate, or maybe anonymous themselves were there, but it doesn't matter what I believe...
I don't know Garry Travis, I only know of him, given the stories i have heard I centainly do not want to know him!

What matters to me, and what should matter to everyone, is what he is doing to our breed...

I have spoke with the akc in regards to issues we have had in the past, and have been told BY THEM, they are a "REGISTRY SERVICE", they do NOT ENJOY being put in this position, to have to make judgements on a person. In order for them to take action against a member, it had to have been very significant. It sounds like it was.

In fact, at the Chicago show this year, I tried to talk to the superintendant in regard to a situation we were having.... and basically was spanked for raising an issue. It was a educational experience, I'll tell ya...

The akc does NOT want to be involved in discipline, so, this event that occurred in Montgomery, was all that anonymous stated, and more, I would lay odds...

By the way, how is the dog(s) that were involved, are they ok?? Does anyone know???

One more comment, I have been at shows where Luciano, Glen, and Carlos have been with their beautiful and clean dogs!!! LOL!!

You guys make our breed better with you appearance ringside, and IN THE RING!! And I also have been a newbie, and in many ways still am... I respect anyone who is trying to help new people. Hats off to you, Carlos!! (sorry)

I think we always have to look good, and show our dogs in a professional and polite matter, because so many in the akc think our breed is not worthy... And that is truly a shame...

And that is really the bottom line for a lot of us, I think and hope, to breed knowledgably, improving health, temperment, longevity. To learn about the lines, historically, and to learn to listen, and READ BETWEEN THE LINES. To educate the public, to make a better name for the neo?? Does it really have to be this adverserial?? I know it will continue to be... Thanks for listening...

Respectfully,
Anne
