Jim - the Midwest has had Specialities before here in Indianapolis and Maybe the Chicago area years ago. There used to be a Regional Club in this area "Midwest Mastino", Cassandra and a few others all ran the club (Mindy, Wendy Gieske, Cathy in Illinois and a few others that are not in the breed any longer) put on a few Big Shows for back then. They had Italian Judges flown in and put up in hotels etc. Lots of Large Ribbons and good times. The thing is it is hard to do and you gotta have the funds to keep it going and everybody has to stay enthusiastic
BUT we can do it!

Well, I would like to see another Midwest club formed in time. I'm willing to help and we have more than enough quality breeders and owners in the Midwest. Jim Hough Illini Mastini
I would like to see it too. I know I am new to this world, but I would try to help in anyway that I am able or should I say capable. ha ha Hope to see everyone next weekend. I think I am only going to be there Saturday. Anne helped me out tremendously by registering Enzo. I had to work and Anne made it possible for me to attend. YAY!! Looking forward to being more involved as I learn more. Thanks to everyone for all of your posts and support. Sue
You are a wonderful new neo person, (hate the word "owner"), it is truly a joy to "help" you. As with Frank and Jim, (and Carman!), nothing has given me more happiness than assisting with bringing these incredible dogs into your lives.
As a new person to the breed, it is wonderful to see your excitement and willingness to do what you can, as a responsible, caring, compassionate woman; to move this breed forward.
Thank you, Sue, from the bottom of my heart, for you loving and enjoying your Enzo. Anything, ANYTHING!, I can do, I will, to help you, (and Frank, Jim, Carman), and anyone else, who feels I can assist them. I am excited for you, and Enzo, and your family to become part of the neapolitan world. Looking forward to Rosemont!! GO ENZO AUGUSTUS!!!

It was great to see everyone. We have a chance to build solid numbers and shows in 2 different states and maybe even a regional club. No bad for a slow year. Troy Stroud AKC Member USNMC Member

The past is an event to be learned from. It should not be a cross you carry on your back and use to assault everyone you meet .
Speak for yourself! I have been to TONS OF SHOWS this year (as many of others here), picked up points here and there, travelled and have been to shows with an entry of 4+ dogs usually. To me that is a Normal year for me. and by NO WAY has this year been slow. What happened to the summer?????? Charina Corrado Mastini Click This Link

If anyone with the experience ready to take on the hard work then count me in. It was great pleasure to meet everyone at Lansing. Looking forward to see you all at Rosemont.
